Associate

Silvia Purcarin joined Lindsay LLP as an associate lawyer in 2021. Her practice focuses on insurance defence litigation, including motor vehicle claims, occupiers’ liability and dental malpractice claims.

Silvia’s previous practice experience includes acting as defence counsel in motor vehicle claims, acting as in-house counsel for a large insurance company and experience working at a boutique family law firm. She is passionate about advocating for her clients while developing practical and efficient approaches to navigate the litigation process. Silvia is known for her attention to detail, strong work ethic and client-driven results.

Although she has represented clients in BC Supreme Court, BC Provincial Court and Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal, Silvia prides herself on being able to help people resolve their claims out of court, whether through negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, or other dispute resolution procedures.

Outside of the office, Silvia enjoys traveling to sunny destinations, learning about different cultures and spending time with her family in and around Vancouver. She is fluent in Romanian and able to carry a basic conversation in Spanish.
