Callan W. MacKinlay articled with Lindsay LLP after completing a law degree at Thompson Rivers University in 2017. He was called to the bar in May of 2018 and has worked at Lindsay LLP since.
Callan’s practice has focused on general insurance law, working on files involving the following topics: personal injury, motor vehicle, coverage, property damage, subrogation, assault, wrongful dismissal, and motor vehicle claims. Callan has also recently taken on dental malpractice claims to broaden his experience.
Callan has completed multiple trials in BC Provincial Court, has attended chambers in the BC Supreme Court, and assisted senior counsel with submissions in the BC Court of Appeal. Callan has also represented clients at the Human Rights Tribunal and Civil Resolution Tribunal.
During law school, Callan conducted the research on The Annotated Guide to the British Columbia Interpretation Act and assisted with submissions on a Supreme Court of Canada Case. Callan also competed in the BC Law Schools Moot in 2017 on the Thompson Rivers University Team.
When he is not assisting clients, Callan enjoys traveling in the Interior, baking, and making cocktails.
